Review of Moonrise Kingdom (2012) by Joeast12 — 18 Jul 2012

This movie, straight up, is just really enjoyable. The way it was filmed makes it feel like your in some grey area between reality and a fairy tale, and it worked wonderfully. One of my favorite things about the movie was how goofy, quirky, and irrational most of the characters are.

I thought maybe the reason for this was because the movie was filmed from the perspective of 2 kids, who were sort of outcasts; and so they perceive all these adults and other kids as really weird and irrational because of how different they are from themselves.

I don't know, just a thought. But overall, a really great movie that doesn't drag on any longer than it needs to (about an hour and a half).
