Wes Anderson's best to date in my opinion. It pushes the "Wes Anderson Quirkiness" into the background and focuses the story on an unlikely pairing of two star-crossed lovers. If Wes Anderson were to have directed Romeo and Juliet and changed the ending, the outcome would be this movie.
I will not risk spoiling things any more. The period and geographical setting is accurate as well!
