Review of Moonraker (1979) by Alex R — 13 Jun 2010
You know who gets the 2 stars? 1 for Ken Adams' set designs and 1 for the wacky scenarios with Jaws. But Moonraker is a mess of a James Bond film. From England to Venice to Rio De Janeiro to Outer Space, there isn't much in the film that makes much sense.
Then again, almost nothing from the original novel was in the film. With the amount of times that Bond encounters Jaws, and the number of times Jaws should've died, but didn't, this seemed more like a Coyote/Roadrunner Looney Tunes than a 007 flick.
The movie should've been titled "Jaws" but I guess that was already taken.... Still a hell of a lot of fun, and this is the last Bond film to be released before I was born.
