Review of Moonraker (1979) by Orlando D — 11 Jul 2012
Probably the worst in the series(next to A View to a Kill) but it's also quite entertaining in a oh so bad it's good movie. The movie is one big campfest with Roger Moore leading the way with his one-liners and given a lifeless Bond girl(Lois Chiles) they have little to no chemistry whatsoever.
The smartest thing they did was bringing back Jaws(Richard Kiel) from The Spy Who Loved Me not only making him the comic relief but giving him a love interest as well! The movie is loaded with good special effects for it's time and great camerawork, the theme song by the incredible Shirley Bassey is not one of the best and the storyline is weak but for Bond fans may find this one terrible, non Bond fans will have a good time enjoying this silly romp.
