Review of Moon (2009) by Paul R — 11 Sep 2013
An engaging and intelligent piece of Sci-Fi history. It had such a limited release to the point that I could only find one cinema in Birmingham that screened it, cheap as chips at just 5 million and with a cast of 1 for the majority - this film was one of the biggest surprises of 2009 and put Duncan Jones on the map as a great Director.
I was hooked from the moment I heard about it and it immediately became one of my favourite films of 2009. Sam Rockwell is superb, who almost single handedly runs the show. With an amazing soundtrack, stunning visuals and a thought provoking story, this stealth summer hit became a very well respected addition to the Sci-Fi genre, and one of my personal favourites.
