Review of Moon (2009) by Debsuvra G — 29 Dec 2013
Terrifying, intense and brilliantly executed, Moon is a prime example of modern Sci-Fi genre movies that really holds up to the science fiction element without all the ear deafening scores and kablooms of destructions that we are used to.
Superb performance from Sam Rockwell who carried the movie forward smoothly. Due to the extensive astronaut - AI interaction throughout the movie, it rightfully reminds us of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The inclusion of Gerty, being almost an antithesis of HAL9000 was surprisingly different.
As a whole, a pretty solid Sci-Fi genre movie.
