Review of Moon (2009) by Akshay H — 23 Sep 2014
This space adventure is unlike any come before, thanks to director Duncan Jones and screenwriter Nathan Parker's contributions, both men's bringing to life a character study that delves into themes of insanity, confusion and loneliness.
The visual effects are astounding and manage to capture the silent roughness of the moon, the unique location of the film, though it's the lead performance from Sam Rockwell which sets this sci-fi film apart from the norm; the film strives to impress you less-so with flashy visuals than the immensely captivating, utterly human story, a story which shall undoubtedly effect the viewer on an emotional level.
