Review of Moolaadé (2004) by David K — 30 Apr 2008
It is hard to disagree with the premise of this movie. But the way it is conveyed is pedantic to the point of nearly obliterating its message. That being said, for its use of a relatively obscure language like Bambara, bright and colorful cinematography, and depiction of how such a horrifying practice manages to be carried out, it is worth seeing.
