Review of Monte Carlo or Bust! (1969) by David G — 06 Sep 2007
As with The Great Race, this is a race movie that is absolutely stuffed with great scenes and is incredibly fun to watch. The cast is fantastic - Tony Curtis is back again after his earlier turn as The Great Leslie, this time as the dafter Chester Schofield and this time around has Susan Hampshire as his love interest instead of Natalie Wood.
It's great to see good old Terry Thomas, and Eric Sykes and Gert "Goldfinger" Frobe are a laugh too, and that's just the tip of the iceberg - all the characters are brilliant. Entertaining all the way through.
The cars may be old fashioned but the ability to make you laugh is not.
