Really fun, entertaining, funny animation. Good CGI. A meteor with powers is crashing to Earth. Susan (Reese Witherspoon) fiance is a weatherman Derek (Paul Rudd) who got a anchor job, so not going to Paris as expected by her. The meteor crash to her on her wedding day. Inside the church, she become a giant. The government agents captures her. When she awake, she is in a secret facility with other monsters - Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), BOB (Seth Rogen), The Missing Link (Will Arnett) and a giant Insectosaurous. It is run by a General (Kiefer Sutherland) and he says this is top secret place. She will have no outside contact forever. And her monster name is Ginormica. An alien Gallaxhar (Rainn Wilson) is chasing after the meteor and send a probe robot to Earth to find it. The USA president (Stephen Colbert) attempt to talk to it by playing his electric organ (Beverly Hills Cop theme). The robot moves and the military all out attack is useless against the shield. General suggest to president to get his monsters to fight alien. While he is introducing his monsters, the lady keep screaming like those old school monster film which is really funny. President approve the mission and the monsters will get freedom if they succeed. The city is evacuated. The robot sense the energy in Susan and target her. She run to hide in the city but is chase. She use car as skate to speed away. A trailer crash when the driver see her. She stop to save them and the robot attack the bridge. She is so strong to fight the robot strength. Dr Cockroach enter the robot to disable the shield. The bridge frame cut the robot head. Gallaxhar now going to get the energy himself. Susan and the new friends return home to visit the parents. She go off alone to find Derek, leaving the monsters with her family. They are all frighten and run. BOB was talking to a jelly thinking it is same breed. Derek breaks up with Susan. She is sad but regain her confidence when she embrace her new strength, friends and achievement. Gallaxhar beam her up. Insectosaurous try to save her and is killed by the attack beam. Susan break out of the laser cell door and chase after Gallaxhar. She got trap in a chamber and her powers extracted out. She become normal. Gallaxhar plan to build a new empire as he kill his own planet. He clone himself to build army and going to make Earth his new home. Missing Link gather the others to save Susan. A clone is escorting Susan to cell. BOB suggest they pretend to be clones too. Missing Link ask the clone to hand her over and he says he is a defect. Clone get Cockroach and BOB to send them both to cell, give BOB the pass and gun. He accidentally fire off and kill clone. The army clones discover them and the quartet fight their way through. They reach the main computer room and Cockroach dance the color code through to unlock it and activated self destruct. While escaping, Susan separated from them. They ask her to go without them. She hop onto the jet and fly to the cockpit, fight Gallaxhar. She shoot down the extracted energy ball and become Ginormica again. She save them and is falling from the spaceship, Insectosaurous became a.
