Review of Monsters University (2013) by Bruno L — 26 Jul 2014
Monsters inc is one of Pixar's greatest works. When I was a kid, I loved monsters inc, the characters were lovable, the dialogue was hilarious and emotional at some parts. The animation was amazing. And the plot was creative and ironic. When I first heard of the prequel, I was excited but soon disappointed because the characters that I loved and remember were coming back but having it to be a prequel was a let down because I wanted them to stick to the original storyline, but they actually didn't.
So after seeing this movie, I was satisfied. Monsters University may not be one of Pixar's greatest works and achievements, but it was still entertaining and fun to watch. The animation of the film improved a lot. The characters are the same as the original. And the dialogue was very funny, dramatic, and emotional at some parts. Everything is great except for the story. Like I said, it's a prequel and it's very predictable to people who have watched the original. The story could've been something more exciting and new than having to borrow some ideas from the original. But overall, it's entertaining and huge fun for the whole family.
