Heath Ledger demonstrates how much his talents will be missed here in an exceptional supporting performance as an unlikely copy of his stern father, a unwavering law enforcer in a corrections facility for lost causes awaiting the electric chair.
This is the first movie that drew my attention to Halle Berry's performance, other than being stage dressing in soft pornography she succumbs to the charms of the racist bigot who watched her criminal husband fry .
