Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by William W — 16 Sep 2008
I can see how some would find this film introspective, deep and meaningful -- but I didn't connect with anything in it and so for me it was simply slow, sparse and even deadpan. I generally don't go for the whole smalltown american setting, so that didn't help either.
some of the acting was good -- but for me the best thing about the whole film was the font they chose for the opening and closing credits.
