Monster's Ball doesn't get nearly enough credit. It's not an alright movie, it's a great movie. Forster manages to hit every note to near perfection and the every actor on screen is outstanding.
That scene in the Grotowski house with Thornton, Boyle and Ledger nearly made me stop the movie so I could take a walk and collect myself.
