Eh, it was OKAY. I guess what I didn't like was yes, she had a hard and tragic life, but every time she turned around Thorton was there to rescue her. It seemed very unrealistic to me. But hey, I'm only talking from my own experiences.
Seems to me hollywood is still really into the idea of a happy ending, or the knight and shining armor. I guess I have given up on that idea. Life is hard...
