Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Anna C — 06 Sep 2010
This is an intense watch and deals with issues like racism, death penalty, love, loss and heartbeak. Halle Berry's as a devoted mother who has to deal with 2 tragedies and Billy Bob Thornton who portrays a man who's racism stems from his cruel father.
Heath Ledger plays Billy bobs hopeless son brilliantly and also has one of the most tragic moments of the film. May prove hard to watch for some, but I enjoyed it.
