Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Michael C — 04 Jun 2012
Halle Berry's performance is heartfelt and vulnerable, and I'm glad she broke the color barrier at the Oscars when she won Best Actress. Plus having Billy Bob Thornton and Heath Ledger in this film isn't bad as well.
And the story itself is haunting and dramatic considering it's about racism but has it's personal moments as well. One of the best from 2001.
