Monster's Ball is the movie that has (further) solidified my love for movies. German-Swiss filmmaker Marc Forster directed this milestone romantic-drama from script by Milo Addica and Will Rokos. Magnificent film, worth every bit of your time.
Halle Berry's performance as Leticia keeps the quality of the plot. Her performance deserved Best Actress Oscar Award that she won, eventually. Billy Bob Thornton shocks audience with his strong performance as Hank Grotowski a racist Correction-officer at local prison, along with his totally-against-the-views son Sonny played by Heath Ledger.
Peter Boyle plays ailing father of Hank, who has poisoned mind of his son against black people.
