Review of Monsoon Wedding (2001) by Sasha S — 04 Jul 2009
A very enjoyable film. The setting is wonderful and pefectly portrays the liveliness and brightness of Indian Culture. I love Dubey's character, because he is the one that is most developed throughout the film and really transforms.
Naseeruddin Shah is absolutely fantastic as the father and really is a major plus in the film. While it doesn't have the typical song and dance that Bollywood normally has, it still captures the music and movement.
If you want a realistic Bollywood movie, you should watch it.
