Review of Monsieur Lazhar (2011) by Shib Shankar S — 20 Feb 2014
It implores us to be human, but never preaches. All is said in an effortless and affectionate way. The personal loss of a man in exile finds its companion in childhood feeling rudely shaken by a mishap.
And this happens across a big ethnic and cultural barrier. I particularly loved the open-ended conclusion of the film.
