Maybe I just don't get French films -- I didn't like "The Triplets of Belleville" or "Le Samourai" either. (I also can't stand Mr. Bean, though I am a fan of Rowan Atkinson).
I guess I just like verbal humor, and verbal drama, better than near-silent stuff like this.
