Having such a better video box and poster, I always wanted to see this until it faded into obscurity, even among Romero's efforts. Having finally seen this the other day it isn't terrible but isn't near Romero's better stuff.
Looking like a Tales from the Darkside episode, Monkey Shines does have a level of suspense that isn't so great but works as being campy too. This is an honest to goodness mix of decent and cheesy.
