Review of Monkey Business (1952) by William W — 11 Oct 2014
A really fun screwball comedy that proves Cary Grant and Howard Hawks' mastery of the genre. Grant plays a very absent-minded scientist trying to discover the fountain of youth so he can have a prosperous career and provide better for his beloved wife.
One of the chimps he tests the formula on does some monkeying around in the lab on her own and chaos and hilarity ensue. A fine vehicle for great supporting actors of the era as well, such as Ginger Rogers, Charles Coburn and Marilyn Monroe.
Heartily recommended for all those who want some good laughs.
