My favourite historical character finally gets the decent modern movie treatment. They MIGHT have made him a bit too sympathetic, though, but its a great film considering its an independent production between about 8 or 9 countries. I was expecting enormous battle scenes, but then I didnt realise it was only meant to be about his rise to power til I got it home. I should've guessed that from the full title:
"Mongol: The Rise to Power of Genghis Khan" does give it away a little.
