Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by Ryan C — 28 Mar 2009
An epic love story with the rise to power of Genghis Khan as its front. The movie is progressed by the love story and constant attempt to humanize the brutal Khan, rather than simply following the epic battles that are also present.
However, in hindsight, this seems a masterstroke and makes for a very good movie, if only somewhat let down by the rushed feeling it possesses in many scenes.
