Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by Tracey D — 22 May 2009
Stylish kick off to the 'Life of Genghis Khan' trilogy. Asano is spot on, as usual, and the cinematography is gorgeous. Takes a little while to pick up steam, but definitely a worthwhile biopic for those interested in the genre.
Fairly violent, but come on, it's about Genghis Kahn! What would one expect?
