Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by Hanen T — 03 Jun 2013
The plot is the rise of Genghis Khan from obscurity to absolute power over the Mongol nation. The cinematography was exotic, almost like Lord of the Rings. The acting is excellent. The dialog was in Mongolian with English subtitles.
The director, Sergei Bodrov, is Russian, while the title role was played by Japanese actor, Tadanobu Asano; an interesting mix of nationalities.
