Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by André D — 11 Apr 2010
This is an hugely ambitious and amazingly detailed depiction of nomadic life amongst the mongolians in the 12th century. The unusual story structure and episodic pacing worked really well for me as the amazing cinematography, beautiful soundtrack and obsessive attention to detail just kept me mesmerised with every scene.
Pretty damn kick ass.
