Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by Francis L — 24 May 2013
Lots of CG blood and guts really dampens an otherwise solid story. Mongol tries to be the epic that Braveheart and Gladiator was but falls short. The acting is top notch with Honglei Sun stealing the screen but there is a lack of empathy and connection with Temudgin the hero of the film.
Mongol is good but could have and should have been better.
