Review of Moneyball (2011) by Kris P — 19 Nov 2012
Oakland A's GM Billy Beane infuses cybermetrics to analyze baseball personnel decisions over traditional scouting in attempt to gain a competitive advantage amidst a tight budget. A shame the A's did not win the World Series during these years.
Very good sports book and movie but ignores a crucial reason for the A's success at the time--three big aces in their starting rotation (Hudson, Mulder & Zito).
