Review of Moneyball (2011) by Jonathan P — 23 Apr 2013

Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill are good but the movie never makes much of an emotional connection to any of its characters and alas even though you are pulling for Beane he just doesn't come across as a likable protagonist.

Moneyball is less about baseball and more about the economics of the game and unless the viewer really understands how the game was changed by Bean and Brand (which isn't the real persons name) than Moneyball comes across as a movie that just didn't seem necessary.
