Review of Money Talks (1997) by Frank J — 04 Nov 2006
Money Talks has seemingly turned onto the forgotten side as the years slide by, and considering the other not to mention better works of Brett Ratner, I could see why, but it is a good movie in spite of what many critics have said.
The formula is pretty good, the action nicely well executed, I think Ratner is beginning to find his calling in the action movie criteria considering his success with the Rush Hour blockbusters in what will soon unfold into a trilogy and the concluding X-Men movie, he knows his way around the block and is turning out in general to be a highly productive film director, this being one of his early efforts and Money Talks is what I like to see as a whole lotta fun.
Something that has clearly aged as nothing but at the time of its viewing was a memorable joy ride. The talented Charlie Sheen, and the energetic not to mention hysterical Chris Tucker made a great team and its worth even a second, even third look if you liked it the first.
