Review of Money Monster (2016) by Scott H — 15 May 2016
Poorly develops its lead characters, making them hard to root for despite the otherwise captivating premise. Jodie Foster does a pretty poor job of making her commentary subtle, instead going with weak and cliche camera angles that accompany some pretty eye-roll-inducing dialogue that Roberts and Clooney can't even save, or say with a straight face.
It has mild moments of humor, and is hardly boring, but in the hands of another director could've been better I think.
