Review of Money Monster (2016) by Betty-Ann H — 18 May 2016
This is a suspenseful film that keeps you on the edge of your seat. While George Clooney is front and center it is Julia Robert's character who is the true hero. She manipulates his safety and keeps the men she works with out of danger as well.
Even better, she does all this without running in 6 inch heels, wearing spandex or showing cleavage. She is a woman shown to be the equal of men and we hardly ever get to see such a balanced story. Every woman should take the men in her life.
They will be entertained, but better yet, it will go along ways to influence their unconscious bias regarding the role women should, and can, play in society. Furthermore, the film is directed by a woman (Jodie Foster) so we women need to support her by buying tickets at the theatre.
We have the buying power so let's support other women!
