Review of Money Monster (2016) by Drew M — 21 May 2016
This is one of the most entertaining ones so far this year. George playing a TV host of ''Money Monster''is quite entertaining and gives quite the dance moves. Julia plays Patty the director of the show and George's closest friend and co-worker and delivers a terrific frightening performance.
The one who really steals the show is Jack O' Connell who plays Kyle, the man who holds George at gunpoint. The writing is adequate. The story is entertaining but can be a little confusing to follow in a few parts.
The story is quite heavy, has a few laughable moments. Jodie Foster is not that strong a director, but not a weak one either. You will not be bored, you may even be sitting on the edge of your seat. The film has one word that just keeps going around in your head.
Money! The film is a bit predictable, but the outcome of this story may surprise you a bit. My grade=82%(B-).
