Arriving a few years late to the scene and too ridiculous to be taken seriously, Money Monster is an average, run-of-the-mill thriller. It's not that it's bad, it's that it doesn't do anything all that exceptionally well.

While the cast is the obvious selling point, they're also not utilized anywhere near to the best of their abilities, and it's a shame they couldn't have come together for something more substantive.
