Review of Money Monster (2016) by Jono M — 05 Jun 2016
Taut, intense and gripping from start to finish, "Money Monster" is a popcorn flick that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Director Jodie Foster has crafted a nail-biting thriller that manages to be both tense and thought-provoking.
When it comes to acting, of course much of the attention will be given to Hollywood's biggest stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts. And while they are as always captivating to watch, the actor who steals the show is Jack O'Connell.
Only in his 20's, this is a role that will hopefully make him a star. In the confined setting of the newsroom, these actors keep the viewer captivated. However, once the action shifts outside, the film loses its intensity and realism.
Nonetheless, the film is still worth watching if you're a fan of thrillers. If you're looking for a heart-pounding thriller, it is well worth your time.
