Review of Money Monster (2016) by Yubin N — 14 May 2016
Jodie Foster proves herself an exceptional director in this very 'mixed' film. The political thriller inside the newsroom of Lee Gates is enthralling, and it constantly had me on the edge of my seat, and Clooney, Roberts and even fellow Jack O'Connell give obviously terrific performances.
However, when the movie cuts back to the Wall Street scandal subplot, the film loses the suspense and weight of the narrative in a dull, preachy way.
