Review of Mon Oncle (1958) by David D — 03 Jul 2007
If you liked Peter Sellers in The Party, you'll love Jacques Tati in this series of films. The last of the trilogy, this one takes us out of the historic Paris of Doisneau's photographs and into the world of a "modern" European catalogue. But the modern here is almost as dated and charming as the classic.
If there's such a thing as an atmospheric comedy, this is it.
