Review of Mommy (2014) by Timothy A — 24 Apr 2015
In some respects an undeniably old fashioned melodrama (albeit with far worse language if you understand French), yet punches well above its weight due to the power of the three central performances. Its searing portrayal of the damage the parent-child bond can do reminds us that dramatic realism can, in its own way, be far more terrifying than any horror movie.
