Review of Mommie Dearest (1981) by Kaity J — 19 Nov 2008
Joan Crawford, as in the real person, was both fascinating and disturbing to watch. There was something about her presence that was constantly spine-chilling. Faye Dunaway's performance in this movie does total justice to that uneasy presence.
Although this story is just one side of the complex life of Crawford and has left an unflattering image of her, it's an interesting movie with a great performance.
