Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Jluis_001 — 11 Jan 2018
The elements that elevate this film comes from the story, the script, the actors, especially Jessica Chastain who once again delivers a performance of great quality and also that the film manages to catch you as a spectator really fast. Its mistakes? The excessive lenght, let's be honest, the movie has minutes to spare and also the movie has a rhythm and a tone similar to that of David Fincher. I understand that Sorkin learned from him, but Fincher is already consecrated and Sorkin is only a beginner and in several details is evident.
Beyond that, the film is solid, is entertaining, is well acted and to be honest I don't know what else you can ask of a film with those qualities.
