Review of Mohenjo Daro (2016) by Sumit K — 19 Aug 2016

In one word : A waste of opportunity , resources and talent !

Just when you are about to devour into the taste of this epic civilization and its culture the director brutally snatches your plate and throws to you a rotten to the core , cliche driven BAD love story and pushes you to an unwatchable ending act ! Never mind the tons of loopholes and pure bad acting and execution....The actress is in dire need of some acting classes ! You will find yourself a fool when the movie forgets about the history it is dealing with and takes the distorted grotesque form of a war of who gets laid with the lady and then gets confused whether it should take the route of a revenge flick or the epic adventure historical drama it is supposed to be ! The production team took on some great names like Mohenjo Daro , Harappa ,Ganga and made a hell of a dogshit movie out of their legacies where talents like Hrithik and Kabir Bedi look like imbeciles...leave the words inspiring or threatening ! What could have been the greatest movie of this year is now a piece of crap....don't even bother watching in rental or torrents after watching movies like Sultan, Uddta Punjab or Madaari ! Sad that Ashutosh Gowarikar is the man here .....Only thing I liked out of this movie was the exotic tune of A.R. Rahman....Man ! I think I would settle for a ringtone !
