Review of Modern Times (1936) by Roberto N — 22 May 2008
Absolute classic by Chaplin, great satire to the ongoing de-humanization in big corporations. Hilarious scenes, like the "feeding machine" used to maximise working hours and the rollerblade scenes.
Also a significant film because it marks the last time we see the little tramp, when he sings in french-like gibberish. Lovely ending, beautiful song ("Smile", composed by Chaplin himself), a must see!
