Review of Modern Times (1936) by Rudy A — 18 Dec 2009
Chaplin demonstrates a mastery for buffoonery in the under current of depression era problems of poverty, unemployment, and employee exploitation. Although the plot was predictable towards the end, there wasn't a dull moment throughout the film.
This film produces genuine laughs and has its own charm from the regular guy that gets pushed around.
