Review of Modern Times (1936) by Ungeziefer & Loving It! — 22 May 2008
I love Chaplin, and this stands as his finest work, next to The Great Dictator. It is a marvelous satire on the depression and the world of emloyment/labor. Way before its time, the film features some great physical comedy and even cocaine jokes.
If anyone ever tells you Chaplin is not hip enough, slap them in the face! This film will be better 20 years from now than anything being made now!!!
