Review of Mobsters (1991) by Melody S — 28 Dec 2009
A very lightweight biopic of the rise to mafia power of Charles "Lucky" Luciano. The plot lacks tension and character depth and is simply a paint-by-numbers account.
Christian Slater is not believable as a major, and by most accounts, merciless, Italian-American mob boss. Some of the other performances are even worse.
