Review of Moana (2016) by Yash B — 02 Apr 2017

I feel that Disney's "Moana" tells a pretty conventional story in many unconventional ways. I think this is a gorgeously animated movie that is somewhat generic in its early scenes but picks up and holds its own in the second half.

I thought the voice acting and music was also top notch. There are really only a couple songs I can see myself listening to many years from and of course there is the one showstopper, like in many Disney musicals.

It's a good movie that has unique elements and a good story. It has its heartfelt moments that make you care enough about the characters. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, but I will say I've enjoyed other recent Disney entries much more.
