This movie teaches kids that they know better than their parents. Parents don't know what's good. Following their teenage heart to brave all danger toward exciting frontier is the way to go.
It's -1 score if I was judging the movie by its educational value to young girls, but since I believe dumb people will do dumb things, movie or not, I give Moana an 8 because it's a beautifully rendered, sung, and acted Disney feature. Disney entertainment delivered what is expected of them.
