Review of Moana (2016) by Anthony K — 21 Jan 2017
A gorgeously animated film that moves briskly and keeps things light, but doesn't really leave much of an impact. I kind of expect the soundtrack for the film to outlast the movie itself, because there is so little here that is truly original.
It's kind of a Trial of Hercules style deal, with each sequence feeling very disconnected from the others and making the whole affair episodic. Moana herself is a great character, which is a major strength of this film.
